check engine light is on 200

I took it back to the Volvo dealer yesterday and they reset the codes and said that it might be the mass meter/air flow meter or the ecu. What is the ecu?
On the way home the "check engine light" came on again - actually it came on as soon as I left the dealer's and then on the highway it appeared to slow down again until I put my foot on the accelerator - it did that a few times, as if the fuel wasn't getting too the carb.
I am going to order a new air flow meter and install it myself. Where do I set the codes? thanks all.
