Replacing 240 side mirrors, as simple as it looks? (1980)

The mirrored part on the original mirrors is very stained and does not look good (the black plastic is still very good.) I got a much nicer pair very reasonably off ebay and want to install them this weekend. On investigating the replacement pair it would seem that just one screw separates the inside and outside part of the mirror, a few twists with the Phillips screwdriver and it came apart. Before I remove the old mirrors and go to install the new ones in the car is it just a matter of connecting the two parts and tightening the screw, or is there some other step in there I need to know about?

Thanks for any replies here.
