Headlight out 700 1989

After you try a known good bulb, clean the grounds, and clean the connector, I have one other suggestion.

I did all these things to my '88, I could even measure 12 volts at the connector - still no light!

I cut the wires off to instal a new connector and found the individual strands in the wire were excessively tarnished, black!

I went to a salvage yard and cut as much of the wires that feed the light out of a wreck - I got about 4 feet. I cut back the car's wires, soldered the new wires in, and the light works fine now.

The actual wires were defective.

Good luck
