The 760T is great as far as the drivetrain goes. The 90 is the best of the bunch. The engine and trans are the same as a 740T so everything is compatible and everything you read applies. The locations of fuses, and relays are completely different, making it more of a challenge to track down trouble.
The 760 has more power stuff and "options"... you'll probably have a power sunroof, power driver's seat, power mirrors and front fog lights.
The entire nose is different on a 760 and nothing interchanges with a 740. The rear suspension, if it's a sedan, is completely different as well- it's got IRS instead of a solid axle. (That means you own a pair of evil Nivomats, worth about as much as the whole price you paid for the car.)
I'd be on the lookout for electrical problems, and climate control problems. If those annoying type of things are ok, you can spend your time bringing the mechanicals up to spec without much trouble. Brakes, front suspension, oil leaks, cooling system, tuneup, turbo air hoses- that's where I'd focus my energy to wind up with a reliable car.
