Thinking about a 164 140-160 1975

This is a newer 164 than I have ever had. The newest one I have had was a
1973 (went to the crusher in Arizona in 1995).

They can wear out camshafts (and frequently do) but they respond VERY well
to something like an IPD street perf cam. Unfortunately they are NLA but
KGTrimning in Sweden can supply them.

I would avoid an auto tranny or replace it with an M410, but check out
the bearings in the M410 before putting it in. Gotta find a good donor
car for the clutch rigging, etc.

While it is a valuable car they usually go fairly cheap, sometimes less
than $1k.
