Could this be a bad fuel pump ? 700

I have a 1990 740gl 8 valve. I was driving along and all of a sudden the engine
sputtered a little bit and died. I rolled down a hill and into the local boat
yard, so I was at least off the street. When I tried to restart the engine, every orange light on the dash lit up, it cranks but would not start. I am
assuming after 13 years and 115K miles the fuel pump bit the dust.

Does this sound like a fuel pump problem, or should I be checking out something
else. It is at the local garage now, and I have not had a chance to check for a spark. Any ideas ?

Thanks in advance.

Tip.
