Replacement of turbo vacuum hose 700 1989

I recently had a small (straight and +/-4 inches long) turbo vacuum hose spring a leak. I replaced it by buying the part from ther dealer($20.00 Cdn) and installing it myself. I noticed that the hose on the lower part of the metal part that the hose connects to is also soft(this hose is not straight). I think that I should replace it. However, this hose circular and the connection to the air intake hose is visible. Can anyone suggest a method to replace this vacuum hose(should I take the metal part off the block with allan key first?). As you probably can tell, I am not too converant with what th emetal part is called(looks like a big mushroom).
