Multiple Questions 200

Ok, first off, I'm driving an 89 240 GL.

The other day my exhaust broke, just after the underaxle pipe before the second muffler. Going to need a new one, is that a job I could do myself (as in it doesn't involve welding or anything of the like).

Secondly, today I was stranded in the parking lot at school for about 10 mins becuase the car wouldn't turn over. Battery was fine and I had all electrical, just that it took multiple tries to get the engine to start and it would just crank and not turn over.

Finally, anyone near RI That knows of a volvo tech who wants to work on the side for a heater core? Any enthusists who have done the job that would want to work on the side also? Hell, I'd even take someone giving me guidence and showing me how to do it.
