Error Code from On-Board Diagnostic 200 1990

I have a 1990 Volvo 245 Wagon. I recently ran the On-Board Diagnostics and when I plugged the wire into Socket #6 - which is for the Ignition. It came up with the code 1-1-1 meaning that there is NO trouble at all. When I plugged the wire into Socket #2 - which is for Fuel Injection, it threw the code 1-2-1 meaning there is a problem with the Signal to & from the Air Mass Meter. My car is equipped with the AMM-016 and the ECU-561. The "check engine" light does not come on, but it very well might be burned out or just unplugged. I purchased the car last November and have done a TON of ork on it since then. My qestion is this, is this an easy fix (replacing the AMM or ECU or another component) or is it a very complex diagnostic nightmare (fault tracing the wiring to & from the AMM)? If the nightmare, where do I start?

Any ideas? Any Help would and is ALWAYS Greatly appreciated. This board has helped me SO much thus far. BTW, as I was reading through the Bentley Manual it stated that I would have "Various Driving Problems" and "Fuel Consumption".

For what it is worth, the brick drives fine. It gets very good mileage (26-28 mpg in mostly city/a little highway driving). The engine purrs like a kitten.

Is this just an annoyance to not bother with? I just ran the check just to do so. I was hoping to find NOTHING wrong in either Socket...But...

Any help would be wonderful.

Todd :-)
