oil pressure 200 1983

I purchased this 83 240 turbo last June and am still figuring out operating a turbo. One thing different from our other NA cars is that there is a bit more information in the gauges. I am watching the oil pressure gauge right now and can see it fluctuating from about 3 bar at 2000 rpm to 5 or more bar at around 3000 rpm or so (5 is max on this gauge and I am assuming that the gauge is in calibration). I noticed on the freeway today while going about 70 mph that the gauge was pegged out on high side, i.e., >5 bar. Bentley mentions a failed oil pressure relief valve in the oil pump when pressure is "exceeds the maximum value". Can anyone tell me what the normal oil pressure fluctuation should be on this car and whether the fluctuations I am seeing is something to worry about? Again, thanks in advance for any responses.
