I didn't try it with the AMM meter disconnected, I did however try a known working AMM. I think that the distributer is in wrong (the black plastic set piece is missing - I'll get one tomorrow. ALso I put the t-belt on in the dark so it is possible something is off. I've read through the FAQ, not much sounds dead on but Imay have multiple problems.
