Modile 1 Gear lube in a Steering Box?? 120-130

Can you put synthetic 75w-90 gear lube in a 122 steering box? I just had a "pressure-tested" steering box put in my car, filled it with synthetic, and now its leaking out the bottom seal.

My thoughts are:

Maybe synthetic gear lube is too viscous.

Maybe the installation is putting stress on the seals (the steering box that was replaced had a bent shaft - not sure how that might have happened because there are no signs of body damage) now the two steering shafts don't line up well resulting in perceivable "bent elbow" at the coupling and possibly the linkages below are stressing the bottom seal.

Any other causes??

Anyone know of a reputable source for rehabing/rebuilding steering boxes. The one that's now leaking is a good one - it has no play whatsoever.

Anyone out there have another good box? (I have another car that could use one)
