MY BLUE VOLVO HIT BY SUV CONT. Thanks all!!!

my wife was attempting a right turn, and a behemoth suv(with one of those guards across the front of it), pulled out of the service station and struck our car. she said the truck was going between five and ten mph. not very fast. The suv wasnt damaged at all.

The hit was almost dead center on the front passenger side door. The damage to the rear door is along the front edge, and very minor.

There really doesnt appear to be any bent parts. Just the doors. The part that the door latches onto when closing, was shoved over until it was barely touching the door frame. I put it back in the original position, now the door closes practically normal, except its concave in, and a bit tweaked.

I wonder what wouldve happened had the suv had been going, say 40mph. Hmmm? maybe i should get a behemoth???

If they do total the 740, I wonder what its worth. And someone mentioned something about buying back from the insurance co. How does that work. Its still a good car. And i think a couple of doors would be good enough. My son needs another car, as were thinking about retiring the 78-240.

The assessor is going to look at it saturday.

please feel free to comment. And thanks for all of the responses to my first post. I will get back with what the assessor has to say.

87-740 165,000(was going for 200,000, at least)
