B230 Front seal replacement 200

I'm in the process to replace all three front engine seals, belt and tensioner on my B230E engine (190,000kms), the seals are from Scan-Tech and I'm a bit worried about the intermediate shaft seal that I just installed. I lubricated the seal all over to get it in without damaging it, however it went in very easy, so easy that I pushed it in rather far and I'm thinking of installing another seal over the top of it. Is that a problem ?

I' just wondering whether I should have oiled the outside of the seal at all, if it gets in easy, it may pop out at a little crankcase pressure. The old seal (ornage) was very hard to get out and I think the person who installed it may have used locktite or so the lock it in place.

Any advise would be welcome.

Thanks,

Jim, New Zealand
