440k on my '88 740 700 1988

Just passed 286,000 miles on my 87 745T. Pulled the motor at 282,700 and installed a new Volvo B230FT crate motor. Mint body and very clean interior.
Only flaw is two cracks in the dash. At 200,000 miles I redid all the bushings and replaced the shocks and struts with HD Bilsteins. For those who don't want to spend the money for the HD's your nuts. They are as stiff today as the day I installed them. I can't believe how nice the ride is on the interstate with the new motor and new Michelin MXV4 Plus on 16' Hydras. Even with the the new engine. The car has cost me over the last 16 years about $200 a month not including gas and oil changes. Since basicly everything is pretty much fixed that monthly cost should drop over the next 214,000 miles.
