Anyone ever added under-dash lighting to illuminate floorboard? 900

I was wondering, have any of you have done/considered this? The overhead light(s) only illuminates so much. My father has a Merecedes and his interior lighting is great, overhead & floorboard allow you to see dropped keys, etc..

If any you have done this or know how to, could you post how to's? I'm specifically interested in the following:

1: What type of light/harness would be suitable
2: Where did/would you mount them?
3: Can this be tied into the existing lighting system w/o any problems?
4: Where should this be tied into (if possible)?
5: Would the added draw of voltage cause any problems?

Worst case, I'll add a switch in one of the vacant dash openings and hardwire only to the floorboard lighting for drivers & passenger sides. I don't care about the rear seating/floorboards.

Thanks!
