Anyone successfully remove lens from body of side marker lamp?

"Standard single-filament bulb, works for both."

Thanks Kane. I used this method on the ones for my former 240.

Now IO'd like to have the lamps on (dimly) when the car is running (ala parking lamps), but have them flash brighter when the turn signal's on. Hence the desire to add one or more LEDs to the lamp.

I suppose I can get away with carefully drilling a hole deep enough in the back of the lamp assy far enough away from the bulb socket for one super-bright LED to fit into -- just enough so it protrudes into the inside of the lamp/bulb cavity. I can get 'em fairly cheap nearby, so I think I'll get a couple and just drill them.

If this method works, I'm sure others would be interested. I recall a thread one or more years ago about this very things, but no longer have it available to me.

Thanks,
Chris
