Instrument cluster question - blue wire? 200 1988

I just got through installing my new stereo (kind of a hassle, but thanks to Crutchfield everything ended well) and I noticed a wire on the instrument cluster that I don't have on my other '88. It is a single blue wire that is connected to the double spade connector that is next to the upper left corner of the speedometer (looking at the back of the cluster), just below the illumination light and turn signal light. The Bentley manual doesn't include this blue wire as far as I can tell. Should my other 240DL also have this blue wire connected from somewhere?

These are the connectors that I have:
speedo connector (clip-on thingy)
yellow-red spade connector
round connector
half-round connector

And then there's this blue wire spade connector on my 5-speed '88 and not on my automatic '88. Does anybody know what this mystery wire is?
