960 Wagon Oil Leak.....FROM?!?! 900 1992

We have a 92 960 wagon. It has the B6304F engine and for all pratical purposes, runs great and drives fine. We noticed oil dripping from either the drain plug or the inspection hole at the flywheel. Checking the oil revealed it to be slightly over full so a drain, new filter, refill was done. Upon removing the drain plug, some of the aluminum threads from the pan came along for the ride(1 leak determined). So my question is:
1. What is involved in repairing the drain plug? since the aluminum is obviously from the pan and not the plug.
2. What may be the cause of the drip from the inspection hole area?

Thanks!!!!
