88 240 fuel pump problems 200

Hi all...this weekend with the help of various members of the BB I found out that I had a bigger problem than I thought. The harness that goes into the tank for the fuel sender and in-tank pump broke off. The car seems to run the same, it idles fine and also does fine at high RPM's. With winter coming however, I do not want to chance anything so I will need to install a new pump/sender unit. Bung nut looks pretty frozen up with rust however. Would anyone want to delve into this project for me? Im located in central Rhode Island.

So just so I know whats going on, there are 2 pumps in this car...one in the tank and another main pump elsewhere? Is this done so you wont get stuck if one dies?? Thats fantastic if so.

Thanks all
Josh
