Engine Seized! Advice? 200

I assume it will crank, but will not start.

Did you notice the oil lite come on?

if the previous oil was very dirty, it may have severely clogged your oil pump and sort of fried it.

I would not suspect a camshaft with 120K would seize, unless it was a chrysler. (HA). But if the actual miles are not true (carfax will tell you this), then it is possible and along with dirty oil, many things can wear down.

A rule of thumb, if the problem suddenly arises, it is 90% of the time something simple, easy fix. If it came on over time, it is 90% something more in-depth, hours to fix.

I would verfy you are getting fuel/spark/ air before you suspect your engine needs replacing.

good luck
Chuck
