junkyard inventory - amazing 200

Hi all-

Went out this weekend to the Windsor, CA PickNPull. Having been there before for more esoteric vehicles, I was stunned by the number of 240's there. Everything from a 75 to an 87, 242/244/245/264/262C most relatively complete. The more desirable (to a guy like me, anyway) "flat hood" style front ends were pretty well picked over, and not a lot of taillights left. There was even a complete '84(?) 245T. Talk about lead me not into temptation... grab the engine from exhaust to air cleaner, and be ready to go faster.

Luckily I was only there to get a seatbelt for the wife's 744Ti. Off topic - but it looks like they changed the seatbelt design about three times; a tapered hole in the buckle, two round holes, or one big square hole on her '90. The '87 part seems to work out okay, but what a trip... change for change's sake?

I picked up a heater control valve (off the 87, still old style, but brand new looksing) backup light lens for my 5-panel (even though I have no backup lights:-) and a seatbelt bracket cover. Couldn't find a good wiring harness, though:-(

I musta spent an hour or more just gawking at the sheer number of cars.

FWIW
Kyle
