iPd lowering springs 140-160

Arg...I hate how this board interprets return characters sometimes.

At any rate, my '71 142 has the iPd lowering springs in it and that lowered the car about 1.5 inches or so (I'd need to look in my notes for the exact value). Cosmetically, this is a great improvement, however, it's a lot tougher now to change the oil. These springs are quite a bit stiffer than stock and I assume they'll kill my KYB Gas-A-Justs sooner than later. Pushing down on the corner of the car really doesn't move it at all.

As for the car's handling they seem well matched with the big iPd bars and all the other suspension bits I've renewed. The car handles like it's on rails and has a pretty smooth transition to oversteer. Excluding needing to readjust my glovebox latch to stay closed over the smallest of bumps, if you're a young or vigorous driver, this is just a blast.

Joel
