intermittent terrible cold idle problem 200

hello folks. i am searching the archives but will post message also. my 1986 244. b-230f when the engine has sat overnight. and is not warm but in south florida not cold either and i start it in the morning two days in a row. it acts like it is running on two cylinders the tach goes up and down like crazy and just recently the voltmeter is much higher than normal near the red . it does not stall but seems like it. cant believe it stays running it is like a bucking bronco, yahoo. it will go down the road like that. after about one mile it will then run great.or when the temp guage reaches about ten percent of the way to the top.it happened about a month ago two times then the problem went away?? maybe bad gas? once today after warm it happened for fifteen seconds.i have not done anything yet to correct this.but can fix most problems.but not good at fault diognosis.i read every post and have a good idea about most things.will do tune up stuff first.im thinking the idle control valve.have many parts.from my other volvos to switcharound and test ...1985 244 163.000 1987 245 130,000 and this 1986 244 107,000. all LH 2.2 jettronics i believe. thanks for taking the time to read. ????????
