New to emission testing 140-160

Steve,
Now the "Grandfather" age is 20 years.
Hence, my 83 244 was not held to the limit this year when she went through the line. However, I failed the safety inspection because I did not have:

Working windshield squirter
loose passenger side wheel bearing (how do they measure this?)
window tint that passed the last 8 years down south in Arkansas
improperely secured battery (he stated that bungee cords do not pass)
a single missing lugnut

My inspector stated "Yaaaaa lucky that your caaaar is old. I knows that yas don't have a conveter on ya tailpipe."
As you might guess, I failed the carbon monoxide sniffer, but I was not held to the limits because of the 20 year clause.

Who knows why the bastards are so strict....

Jeremy, pissed at the inspector...
