Anybody Ever Kludge a 240 Blower Motor? 200

The blower motor in my '87 240 is totally dead. As a basically lazy person,
I have no interest in spending 8 hours fixing it in a cold parking lot. As a basically rational person, I would still like to have a heater this
winter.

I was thinking about a couple of easy potential alternatives: getting one of those 12v fans and putting it in front of the middle dash vents to pull air through, somehow wedging some other fan somewhere into the system, etc.

I'd consider one of those giant hair dryer-like electric heaters, but I don't think that would work for a sustained heat source.

Looks/appearance not an issue--it's my work car.

Anybody ever try anything like this? If so, how did it work?

TIA,

Dave S.
