Rear Springs for 245 - 240 / Wagon - Overload or Normal 200 1987

A year ago I rebuilt the rear-end suspension of my 245, and I got the wagon overload springs from fcpgroton to rise up the rear end. The stiffer springs along with the rebuild raised the rear perfectly - I could see out the rear window perfectly. The only downside is that they were way too stiff for my needs. The only time they gave a pleasant ride was when I had over 200 pounds loaded in the rear. Their stiffness under normal cruising was almost dangerous. I remember many dangerous occasions where the rear bounced and skipped around on bumps while going around high speed interstate ramps.

I put the original wagon springs back in recently, and the ride was amazingly smoother. I would imagine the stock springs wouldn't loose too much of their spring over time, but I'm not much of an expert on that topic. Ideally it'd be nice to have the comfort of the stock springs with the lift of the override springs.

Does anyone have anything to add? Has anyone had good results from changing out their "sagging" wagon springs with the normal wagon springs? I'm afraid to go through all that work to find out that it didn't make a difference.
