Can't start car -- or get key out of ignition -- need help! 900 1993

This happened once before afew weeks ago, but got key out after several minutes of trying. No clue what to do today. The symptoms:

Wet. cold day. Jumped in car for a quick trip to the P.O.

Key turns just enough to allow manual shiftlock override (no lights)

Can't get key out.

P.O. closes at 11:00 today
