changing dash instrument lamp color? 700

I bought my 744T this spring, and it had already been converted to a "red" dash (and all the other interior display lights also) in a quite simple and inexpensive way.

The previous owner used bits of heat resistant red mylar (I think - maybe gel) film from a graphics arts or theater supply outlet - not sure which. He had cut 2" square pieces for each bulb and had shaped them into the sockets before inserting the bulbs. It doesn't seem to effect the fit and as yet, my dash has not burst into flames. Although slightly more difficult to see in ambient light (I think the dash uses phosphor paint which is designed to reflect green) its quite sufficient and preferable when completely dark.

an afterthought: the 140s were easier to convert, 1 bulb for the dash and a single strip (OEM green) over the top of the cluster.
