Starter installation 200 1979

Hi All, What is involved in installing a new starter? What tools might I need? I posted a few hours ago and the starter solenoid was suggested as the problem. I can buy a new starter, but will putting it in be a challange? I have the basic 104 peice tool set..minus some bits and pieces. I am not very good when it comes to working on my car...yet..I have a jack and jack stands..Am I all good, or should I leave it to an auto tech. Also is there a way to for sure diagnose that it is indeed ther starter?.. Thanks everyone. Franco79..245dl..218k
