What exactly is the differences between S90 and 960's??? S90-V90 1997

My service and warranty booklet for a late 1997 S90 has an "official" Volvo "Applies to S90/V90" sticker over where it(I assume) said "960" formerly.

Personally it's still a 960 to me, as I had coveted one since 1992(or whatever the first model year was), but finally in 2000 I got a used '97 S90. I also have to say "960" to get mechanics to acknowledge its existence.
