yet another strut rod question 700 1990

Recently went to replace my strut rod bushings with a kit from IPD; first time doing that...and began to regret doing it myself, as I discovered that the rods i have are, according to one of the folks at IPD, not originals. It was explained that Volvo made 3 sizes of rods, varying the length in each. In short, the rear bushings (at the chassis) were smaller than what should be there.

First, a brief rant: it seems *slightly* misleading to offer one kit for one size, without warning that there may be a difference. If they knew on the phone, surely they knew when I bought them. I haven't read anything that states there are different sizes for these bushings, or i missed it, but apparently someone knows...

...that said, anyone know where to find the correct size bushings? IPD also told me that my alternatives were to buy new rods from Volvo which would include the bushings, or find old original rods. Surely though, since someone makes bushings for the volvo replacement rods in the different lengths, there should be after market bushings to fit the various sizes?
