Better? Probably. Would they have survived? Who is to say? I almost got taken out by a tank truck rollover from oncoming traffic in one of my 240s.

While I'm sure I would've been protected better than I would've been in a Civic or a Corolla or even a garden variety Taurus or something, I still would've been pretty dead. I guess it all depends on what kind of accident, and how bad it is. Because Volvo or not, nothing will keep you from pushing up dasies if you're in a bad enough accident.
