1990 exaust manifold machining question 700

So i want to use the manifold that came on my 1990 turbo, but with the garret T03 I have for it, its a no go because of the manifold outlet where the turbo goes. Simple fix, send it to a machine shop. Has anyone ever tried machining this them selves, if so, did you just use a die grinder? Or would I be better off taking it to a machine shop. Any comments welcome!

FYI...i have a drivability problem im still hunting, black smoke under heavy load, I found the intercooler was bad. Leaking from one of the side tank seals, so i took the one from my wrecked car, and i gained 1 lb of boost, and a much more resposive engine, but im still huntin for the black smoke. Fuel pressure check tomarrow, and then a very carefull look at all the hoses again! Just thought thats a good peice on info though.
