91 740 Cruise Control - Different than 700/900 Fax? 700

I just bought a 91 740 and am trying to get the Cruise Control working and believe there are a few things different that on the Brickboard 700/900 Fax.

1) What color is the wire(s) going to the speedometer (there are no yellow ones I can find)?
2) I'm not sure where the Control Unit is on the 91? Is it mounted on the bracket for the brake pedal and if so, which end of the connector is pin 1 (My box on the brake pedal bracket does not have the pins labeled)? Also, does the description below apply to a 91:
# Terminal 1 of the switch carries power to terminal 2 of the switch in the On position.
# Terminal 1 of the switch carries power to terminal 4 of the switch when the speed button is pushed (momentary contact).
3) What is the little box marked "handle with care" hanging just above where your left foot would be underneath the covers. It is suspended and looks like it may need to be oriented in one position only. Is it for the airbag or maybe for the cruise control. There was a comment about a mercury switch to turn off the cruise??

I am sure the lamp fault relay is good and also the vacuum pump is good since they have been swapped from a car my daughter recently wrecked and another one which died due to a bad ZF transmission. The vacuum switch and brake switch which work off the brake pedal are also properly adjusted and there are no vacuum leaks. One thing that is abnormal is that with the good lamp fault relays (I have tried 2 from the parts cars I have) a new problem has surfaced. That is, the lamp fault lite comes on when the brake is depressed and no park lites or headlites are on. When the park or headlites are on, the lamp fault lite does not come on when the brake is depressed. If I have the brake depressed with the park or headlites on and then turn them off, it takes a few seconds (variable time) before the lamp fault lite comes on. I wonder if it is related to brake fluid pressure or a phantom ground???? Also, from what I have read on the 700/900 Fax, maybe this problem may be causing the Cruise Control to be inoperable. Any idea? I appreciate the help.

Thanks - Glen
