'90 740GL stall and restart problems 700

Hi. I've got a 1990 740GL with the B230F engine, 130k miles. I'm having trouble with stalling. I've read the FAQs, but was hoping for a little additional help here.

The car tends to stall at low speeds, like when coming into a stop sign. Once, however, it stalled on the highway at about 50mph. Often it takes a few minutes to restart. It happens intermittently, like maybe once or twice a week.

It doesn't sputter at all first -- you never know it's coming. It just turns off suddenly -- loses power, as if someone reached over and turned the key. The dash lights all light up.

I took it to a Volvo specialist in San Francisco (Exclusively Volvo on Valencia). They said that 90% of the time such stalling is the result of the Fuel Pump Relay or the Injector Relay. They replaced both (charging $180, which was ridiculous). That was about a week ago, and it has stalled three times since.

I'm wondering what the next step is. Should I replace the Radio Supressor Relay also? Should I check other things? Unfortunately, I'm a basic car idiot, and lack the knowledge or equipment to do it on my own... but I haven't yet been able to find a mechanic to figure it out, so I thought I'd ask here for some help.

thanks a lot...
