removing AC compressorr? 200

In my '86 240DL, the AC was long dead by the time I got the car 3 years ago. I have since removed various pieces of it that were in the way of some project. So I've noticed IPD sells a kit to bypass the compressor on pre-86 cars, but I figure there must be a way to bypass it on my car pretty easily. Anyone got an easy solution? I guess you just need to reposition the power steering pump pulley to line up with the crank pulley, but I'm not quite sure how I would do this. thanks to anyone who might have a solution.
