Hey Robert:
I'd do it for $1200. Make sure the title is clear.

I have a hard time believing that the head gasket is blown if it runs great. Judging from some earlier posts on the brickboard I would still be concerned that head repairs aren't always permanent. I do like your idea of checking to see if the leak is somewhere other than the head gasket, but I wouldn't count on it.

Good luck with it if you go ahead with the deal. The 960 is a nice car.
