Air mass meter 200 1983

83 DL with LH 2.0 fuel injection with 121k mostly from city driving. The car gets poor milage now (13 mpg in city) and lacks power. I have two questions: 1) is AMM platinum wire resistance ( terminals 6- yellow/green and terminal 7 white/red) of 4.4 ohms acceptable ? Bentley suggested to replace the AMM if resistance is outside 3.5 to 4.0 ohms. 2) Bentley also suggested when replacing the AMM, you must check/adjust idle mixture using a dwell meter or Volvo special tool 999 5280. Is this necessary ?
From the prior post, someone suggested R/R the AMM only takes 10 minutes and is a matter of turning a few screws. Thanks, Andrew
