Fuel Economy Part II

Here is some more trivia for everyone who was thoughtful enough to reply to my last message. The car went in recently because when I came to a stop, the engine would stall. They replaced the fuel pump and fiddled with the advance, but the idle still dips when I stop, though only really when it's cold out. The idle also sometimes goes up and down when I'm sitting at the lights, for example. I have carbs, if that's any help...
