Sticking throttle. 700 1990

Whilst driving my 90 744ti through traffic today my throttle stuck at 2 grand. When I made it home I discovered that the throttle was not returning to the stops. When I forced it to return it felt stiff so I used some PB Blaster and it seemed to return easier than before. During a test run it would stick but only at about 1 to 1.3 k. The pedal also feels light as if there is not enough pressure. Could spring assy be worn or broken and if so how is involved in replacing it. I cleaned the throttle body about one thousand miles ago.
