5 spoke aluminum wheel damage 700 1988

Due to being ran off the road by the proverbial little old man I have some damage to one of my wheels. The wheel is of the 5 spoke aluminum variety. It now has a flat/dented spot on the inside rim of the wheel. Is there a home fix for this? I am concerned that if I try to peen it back out that the rim will crack. The flat spot is big enough to cause vibrations while driving.
