The green OD light is found on 240s having a manual transmission. The orange "up arrow" is found on 240s having an A/T.

The lights work opposite to each other. An illuminated green light means that the manual tranny OD is on or engaged. An illuminated orange light (in an automatic car) means that the OD has been locked out by the driver.

If your car has a manual transmission and also has the green light, it simply means that you or some other moron installed the wrong instrument cluster.
