Quick an easy timing mark question..

In addition to Bruce's illustration (thank you Haynes), take a look at these photos from Haynes. These are for a B21/23, but I think a B230 is the same.

In particular, look at picture 9.7 and you can see the timing mark on the seal housing and the notch in the flange (and also the key in the sprocket).

One possibility is that your harmonic balancer might have started to slip, so the timing index mark on its rim is no longer meaningful.
