I personally replaced the kickdown cable and have inspected it periodically - that is definately not the problem - the car basically sucks - I have a friend with a chevy blazer - 180,000 miles and he NEVER replaced anything - just the usual bull - battery, wires, etc. I am under this car EVERY weekend - basically, I guess I'm looking at $300 to $400 for a tranny rebuid or new valve body - At this point I think I'd rather pay the $300 a month for a new car and not have to screw around troubleshooting and replacing and getting dirty and blah blah blah.
