Sunroof wont open after replacing headliner 700 1990

Removed the sunroof section of the headliner from the back of the pan. Replaced headlier on this section and put it back in. Now, sunroof won't retract. The back end raises up ok, and it worked fine before the repacement but if I try to crank with the section in, its obviously stuck.

The installation looks fine. The tabs on the headliner section appear seated in the sunroof rails properly. The headliner is hooked onto the front of the sunroof as it should be. All else appears fine, it just won't crank. If I take the headliner section out again, which I did, the sunroof cranks just fine, so the problem apparently isn't in the crank mechanism or the sunroof proper. Im assuming there is something wrong in how I am reinstalling the headlier section, or I buggered the headliner up in some way.

Anyone have similar experience or ideas?
