I still can't figure out whether the radio or dome lights are the problem.... 700 1988

When I'm sitting in the driveway with the car in park or neutral, the radio and interior lights work fine (except the LCD readout on radio), but when I put the car in reverse, the fuse blows and nothing works. I am not mechanically inclined and even less knowledgeable about electrical matters, but, thanks to this forum, I have been able to figure out some minor repairs and do them successfully at home. I hope someone could give me instruction on where to look for potential answers to this problem.BTW, I have a wagon , so there are two dome lights involved.
Thanks
