EGR valve? 700 1991

The header pipe of my 91 740 Turbo SE is bent way the hell out of shape, and this is causing me all sorts of problems (leaking out of the turbo clamp, banging the whole system on bumps in the road, etc.) I'm trying to find a replacement part for less than the 300 dollars the dealer quoted me, but I don't know whether my car has an EGR valve or not. Can anyone let me know of an easy way for someone who doesn't know all that much about cars to figure this out?
