Noise and Slight Shudder While Driving 700 1989

Hi ya,

Had my tranny mount replaced, as it was shot.Thought that it would be all quite. Not a chance.

The mechanic had it for the day on Wednesday to check it out.
Checked the tranny bearing, u joints, made sure the drive shaft was in line, also did a compression test on the engine, all was o.k.

He seems to think that the slight vibration and noise must be coming from the gearbox, he says that everything else is o.k

The gearbox ( auto ) changes up and down very smoothly. The noise and vibration is worse when accelerating hard from a start and not as bad when crusing at 60/70 mph.
Any help or ideas would be great,as i don't fancy getting a recon gearbox.

Many thanks
Roly
