In tank Fuel Pump 200

Hey guy's, I need a little info if you please. I have a 85 245 wagon that I need to remove the intank pump. I looked at it yesterday and it looks like I'll have to drop the tank to get it out. There is just not enough room in the access hole to remove it from top, that and the fuel lines. Am I missing something here? Any advice is appreciated.
